Austrian Golf Open

Simon WakefieldSimon enjoyed his best week so far on the European Tour Race to Dubai in the Austrian Golf Open played at Fontana Golf Club in Vienna.

 

His rounds of 68, 70, 67 and 66 gave him a four round total of 271, 13 under par which left him in a tie for 6th position. Spain's Rafael Cabrera-Bello claimed his maiden European Tour victory with a score of 20 under par shooting a stunning 60 in the final round which saw him one shot ahead of England's Benn Barham.

 

Simon now takes a week off before heading up to Scotland for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship played over Carnoustie, Kingsbarns and St Andrews.
