Simon played in the Mugello Tuscany Open in Italy on the Challenge Tour and finished in a tie for 5th place.

He put together rounds of 73, 69, 69 and 67 giving him a six under par total of 278, just four shots behind winner Floris de Vries who took the title on ten under par.
